This policy explains what personal information Keep Calm Driving School collects, why, and what your rights are. Last updated: 3rd November 2026.
Who we are
Keep Calm Driving School is run by David Hamilton, who is responsible for your personal information (the "controller" under UK data protection law). You can contact us about anything in this policy by email at info@keepcalmdrivingschool.co.uk or by phone on 07720 252616.
What we collect
- Enquiries: when you use our enquiry or contact form, or phone or email us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in and anything else you tell us.
- Pupils: if you book lessons, we keep the details we need to arrange and give your lessons, such as your contact details, lesson bookings and payments, and notes on your progress.
- Testimonials: if you send us a testimonial, we collect your name, location and what you write.
- Pass photos: if you agree, we may use a photo of you after your test, with your first name, the date and the test centre.
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
- To reply to your enquiry and to arrange and give your lessons. We do this because you have asked us to, or because it is needed for our agreement with you.
- To keep the financial records the law requires. We do this because we have a legal obligation to.
- To show testimonials and pass photos on our website and social media. We only do this with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where we need to. Our website is hosted by IONOS, and messages sent through our forms are emailed to us from their servers. We may also share information with our accountant for our financial records, or where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to lessons: up to 12 months.
- Pupil records: while you are a pupil, and financial records for as long as the law requires for tax purposes.
- Testimonials and pass photos: until you ask us to remove them.

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
The Areas Covered page shows a map from OpenStreetMap. When the map loads, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address. Their privacy policy explains how they use it.
Links to Facebook and other sites take you away from our website, and their own privacy policies then apply.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email us or give us a call.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
